A decimated staff and shrinking server capacity has been blamed for the disaster presidential campaign launch by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Twitter Spaces. 

Twitter Spaces staff have been ruthlessly slashed from 100 workers to three in the past months with engineers at the social media firm saying they ‘weren’t ready’ for the onslaught of users.

More than 500,000 people were waiting for more than 20 minutes for the event to start, and people who were able to join were frequently kicked out.
