Hawthorn chief executive Justin Reeves quits club ‘to prioritise mental health’

Hawthorn chief executive Justin Reeves has resigned his post, effective immediately.

Reeves, who signed a five-year contract with the Hawks in 2021 having first taken the job in 2017, told the Hawthorn board he wished to step away “to prioritise his mental health and wellbeing and spend more time with family”.

Ash Klein will step in as interim chief executive as the Hawks launch the process of searching for a permanent replacement.

More to come.
