A South Australian judge has resigned amid an investigation into a “complaint about his conduct”.

Judge Timothy Heffernan, who had served on the District Court, resigned on May 17.

In a statement, the Courts Administration Authority in South Australia said it had been investigating the now former judge until he resigned.
