  • The blaze is believed to have begun in a 15th floor apartment where a deceased individual was found by firefighters 
  • According to the fire chief, the fire was put out by the early afternoon, despite the windy city’s famous winter weather pushing the fire up nine floors

A large fire that broke out Wednesday in Chicago has killed one person and injured at least eight others – including a firefighter – according to officials.
