A heartbroken boyfriend has paid tribute to his pageant winner lover after she was killed in a single vehicle car crash.

Melita Cupitt, 22, from Warwick, south-west of Brisbane, was killed at about 7.55pm on Friday when her car veered off a country road.

Ms Cupitt suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency service workers.
