The family of a teenager who was left fighting for his life after being shot by a San Antonio cop in a McDonald’s parking lot have said their ‘prayers have been answered’ after he was finally released from hospital.

Erik Cantu, 17, returned in time for Thanksgiving, having arrived home almost two months after the incident, his family confirmed in a statement Wednesday.
