A police officer has today been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a botched car chase ended in a crash causing the death of a young man.

Leicestershire Police said an officer from its road policing unit (RPU) attempted to stop a black BMW shortly before 4am this morning on a residential Leicester road.
