Elon Musk used his recently obtained platform as boss of Twitter to extend a olive branch to Donald Trump on Sunday, a day after the ex-president rebuffed Musk’s invitation to rejoin the platform.
The seemingly sarcastic declaration from Musk, 51, came in the form of a stream of memes made at the expense of the former head of state – and honed in on his recently aired decision, in particular.
Less than a day before, Trump, who recently announced a renewed presidential bid for 2021, was reinstated to Twitter by Musk, who completed his $44billion purchase of the platform after nearly a year of negotiations last month.
In his string of posts, Musk, true to his trademark outspokenness on social media, lambasted Trump for turning down his offer, suggesting the ex-president was fighting his innermost urges in the process.
