Heartbroken mother, 22, reveals how she lost her unborn child when she was struck by Ford Fiesta

A heartbroken mother has revealed how she tragically lost her unborn child when she was struck by a Ford Fiesta which smashed into the crowd at a car meet, leaving one person fighting for their life and 10 injured. 

Georgia Wood, 22, suffered a miscarriage, bleed on the brain and gashes and cuts to her head, knees and ankles after the car hit her in Scunthorpe.

The incident on Saturday, September 24 at around 9.10pm, left her friend Connor Richard, 23, in a critical condition and he remains in intensive care.

Georgia, who is mother to Harrison, 20 months, said that losing her baby means her son has lost a ‘lifetime best friend’.

She explained that she was struggling to come to terms with the events of the evening. 

Georgia said: ‘I was looking forward to having a little brother or sister for my son, to be their lifetime best friend, as you don’t get closer than a sibling.
