Toddler comes within INCHES of being hit by SUV that ran through crosswalk in California

A little girl is recovering after an SUV narrowly missed her while she was scootering across a California crosswalk with her parent and sibling just feet behind.

The incident happened on September 14 in San Mateo, California, just south of San Francisco, when a father and his two children were crossing a street in a designated pedestrian crosswalk, ABC 7 reported. 

Video captured on dashcam of the incident shows the little girl mere inches from a large SUV that goes barreling through an intersection and then drives off. 

The driver of the vehicle with the dashcam, Jison Hong, had stopped for the blinking lights that indicate pedestrians are attempting to cross. 

The little girl was riding her scooter when she got ahead of her father, who appeared to be checking for cars coming down the street. 

The father, who was pulling a cart, can be seen looking around Hong’s vehicle when the little girl scoots in front of him and is very nearly hit.
