Urgent warning every Centrelink customer needs to know ahead of the public holiday to mark the Queen’s passing

Centrelink has revealed what customers will need to do to receive their payments on time with the agency closed on next week’s National Day of Mourning for the Queen’s death.

The service warned payment and reporting date changes could catch Australians off-guard when Centrelink offices across the country close on Thursday, September 22 to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

‘We want to help you plan so you still get paid,’ Centrelink said.

‘You may need to report your income early so we can pay you. We may pay you early.’
