Woman going for a walk is ‘grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted’ in terrifying afternoon attack as cops release CCTV of moment he fled

  • CCTV released of man involved in terrifying sexual assault in Ipswich  
  • Woman was walking along Blackall Street in Basin Pocket at 4pm on August 1  
  • Man approached her from behind, then ‘grabbed and sexually assaulted her’ 
  • The offender is described as a young male, dark skinned in appearance
  • He was also wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts as well as thongs
  • Anyone who was in the Blackall Street area at the time is urged to come forward

A public appeal has been issued to help identify a man believed to be involved in an unprovoked sexual assault.
