  • Magistrate Pamela Dowse agreed to ‘unusual’ request and revoked his bail

A man pleaded with a magistrate to be put back in the watch house overnight so he didn’t miss his court appearance the following day.

Adrian Anthony Crematy, 46, asked Magistrate Pamela Dowse during his appearance at Southport Magistrates Court on the Gold Coast, on Tuesday if he could stay another night in detention.

Crematy is due for sentencing on Wednesday on a charge of public nuisance.
