The area has been taped off with police questioning those entering and leaving the premises.

Local MP Justine Elliot say those locked down are awaiting official advice from NSW Health but it’s understood they will need to isolate for seven days.

Another MP for Ballina, Tamara Smith, said police will be monitoring the situation closely.

‘NSW Health have locked down the venue and all 84 people are in a seven-day lockdown in the premises and I’m told being supported with food, health and support,’ she said.

‘Police are monitoring compliance 24/7 over the next 7 days.

‘My thoughts are with everyone in that situation as it will be a tough time, and I will keep checking in to make sure that people are getting the support they need.’

Aquarius declined to comment when contacted by Daily Mail Australia. NSW Health has also been contacted.

The northern NSW local health district confirmed there had been two new cases of the virus reported in the area on Wednesday.
