This is the moment an enraged ‘lobster Karen’ threw a tray of seafood rolls on the ground and called the cops after ranting at fishermen for their cook-up in a parking lot near her home.

Footage posted online showed James Mizuki and Jacob Arevalo, both 28, cooking their lobster catch out the back of their truck near a beach in California.

The pair can be seen being approached by a women who asks them what they are doing before claiming they have no right to be there because it is private property.

Mizuki and Arevalo, from Glendale, California, politely offer to share the food before the video skips ahead to the pair telling the woman they will pack up and leave.

But the woman appears to get angry and claims Mizuki is intimidating her before demanding they leave immediately and threatening to phone the sheriff, which she then does.

In one final swipe, the women walks to the truck’s open passenger door and pulls the board of freshly prepared lobster rolls and watermelon onto the ground.

The video shows the pair doing a ‘catch and cook’ after managing to catch some lobster at a nearby bay. Approached by the irate woman, wearing a black puffa jacket, Mizuki and Arevalo offer to share their precious catch.

But the ‘Karen’ demands they leave the parking bay, telling them she is part of a board which owns the site and that they have no right to be there.

‘We’re just gonna empty this pan and then we’ll head on out of here,’ Arevalo tells the woman.

‘I want to see you leave,’ she responds. ‘I want you to pack up and get the heck out of here.’

One of the men asks the woman her name in an effort to de-escalate the situation while they pack away their cooking equipment.

‘My name is [redacted] and I’m on the board, and if you’re not out of here in a minute, I’m calling the sheriff,’ she says.

What is a ‘Karen’?

A ‘Karen’ is a term for a self-righteous woman, sometimes racist and usually middle-aged, who tells people how to do their jobs, asserts their rights and complains to the manager.

The term became popular in meme culture on internet forum Reddit to describe problematic women.

A Karen meme is often combined with the quote: ‘Can I speak to the manager?’

The male version of a ‘Karen’ is sometimes referred to as a ‘Kevin’.

The footage then pans to empty parking spaces either side of the men’s truck, showing they are in an unused area of the ‘property’ before panning back to Arevalo who is hurriedly packing up.

But the woman continues to demand the men leave the area immediately. ‘You’re making me upset. You’ve got a lot of nerve doing this,’ she says. ‘This is illegal what you’re doing.’

She then takes out her phone and threatens to phone the police, before moments later dialling the local Sheriff’s office – telling them the men have been in cooking in the parking space for sometime, though Mizuki maintains it was no more than five minutes.

Footage then shows Mizuki trying to calm down the woman, who tells the two men she owns the entire property where they are cooking.

Pressing her to explain, the ‘Karen’ claims she only owns part of the property and then says Mizuki is intimidating her and threatens to bring a ‘suit’ against him.

In one final swipe, the woman walks to the truck’s open passenger door and pulls the board of freshly prepared lobster rolls and watermelon onto the ground.

Fortunately Mizuki manages to stop her ruining all the food and the video ends with the pair trying their leftover lobster rolls and saying ‘Cheers to Karens’ into the camera.

The footage was posted on Instagram by Mizuki, founder of nonprofit The Giving App, two weeks ago and captioned ‘Catch, Cook, & ‘KAREN’. So we met our first ‘Karen’the other day, & this is how it went…’
