Three police officers have been injured in a shooting aboard an Amtrak train pulling into a station in Arizona before the gunman barricaded himself in a bathroom.
Police arrested one man following the shooting, which happened at 7.40am as the train, traveling from Los Angeles to New Orleans, pulled into the station in Tucson.
Shots were fired between a passenger on the train and police at the Sunset Limited station, said passenger Evan Courtney, who was evacuated from his train carriage along with others.
The gunman was arrested after locking himself in a bathroom aboard the train.
There were 137 passengers and 11 crew members on board, with all passengers and crew now evacuated to the station. There are no reported injuries to the crew or passengers, Amtrak spokesman Jason Abrams told KGUN9.
