Spread the love

Some of California’s cutest surfers hit the waves to raise money for their orphaned friends in need.

The 16th annual Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon at was held at Del Mar Dog Beach Sunday afternoon to raise money for pets at Helen Woodward Animal Center.

The dogs, alongside their owners, competed in front of a panel of judges consisting of surf pros and aficionados, according to a press release.

Sporting tuxedos, sunglasses, mohawks and other festive costumes, the competitors – championing for the title of Best in Surf – were judged on the length of their creativity, ride, wave technique, enthusiasm and confidence on the board.
