A Polish TikTok star claims to be the first person in the world to sell her ‘virtual love’ as a Non-fungible token.
Marta Rentel, who goes by the name Marti Renti, claims she cashed in for £185,000 after a mystery buyer splashed out $250,000 for her ’emotions’.
NFTs are ‘one-of-a-kind’ digital assets that can be bought and sold, but have no tangible form of their own.
They can be thought of as digital certificates of ownership for virtual or physical assets and are used as a new model for the exchange of works of art, graphics, music, and now emotions.
A person offers up content for sale, such as a piece of art, and the buyer secures exclusivity to its use despite the author retaining copyright.

Marti, a 21-year-old influencer who has over 2.4 million TikTok followers, says she has sold her exclusive ‘digital love’ to an unknown bidder.
Posting on Instagram she said: ‘Yesterday I sold my first NFT for an incredible amount – I won’t tell you how much, because I don’t believe it myself. I don’t know who bought them yet. Brent, if it’s you, thank you.’
In a later post, she revealed the NFT had been sold for $250,000 which works out at almost 1million Polish zloty.
According to Polish gossip website plotek.pl: ‘Virtual love can be a graphic, photo, video game, YouTube movie, song, animated GIF.’
The NFT has been sold in collaboration with Fanadise – a company that allows influencers to sell exclusive content, such as pictures and videos, to their fans who pay for a subscription.
And according to the blonde’s NFT website: ‘This is the first ever Love NFT based on digital DNA of Marti Renti. Symbol and the beginning of the new digital era.
As well as being the holder of Renti’s Love NFT with exclusive rights to digital love, the buyer will also be invited to a one on one dinner with the influencer (pictured) ‘in the physical world’

The blonde who is about to take part in the Polish version of reality TV show ‘Fame or Shame’ added: ‘I want to be an innovator and create the future, so I was the first person in the world to tokenize emotions.
‘Physical love, platonic love, and digital love may be different, but each is real in the same way as all our thoughts and feelings.
‘And digital means eternal. After all, everything that is digitized now will stay with us until the end of the world – photos, films, memories, everything.’
Rental, who has 71 million likes for her videos and photos, shot to public attention with the release of her single ‘Bad Girl’ earlier this year which attracted over 1.8 million views.
She had previously been involved with Mixed Martial Arts.
She added: ‘I always wanted Polish women to go down in history.
‘I can already imagine what picture of me might appear in history books. It’s possible, isn’t it?’
