Spain winger Pablo Sarabia ruled OUT of Euro 2020 semi-final against Italy with abductor injury… in blow to Luis Enrique’s side ahead of showdown at Wembley tonight
Spain boss Luis Enrique has confirmed that in-form winger Pablo Sarabia will not be available for tonight’s Euro 2020 semi-final against Italy due to an abductor injury.
PSG midfielder Sarabia, who has been one of Spain’s standout players during their Euros campaign so far having scored two goals, was forced off at half-time during the quarter-final triumph against Switzerland on Friday.
With the injury having been confirmed as an abductor strain, Enrique confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the 29-year-old was the only player ruled out of tonight’s mouthwatering Wembley showdown.

‘They [Spain players] are all available apart from Pablo Sarabia who is not going to be able to be in the game,’ he said.
According to Marca, Sarabia felt the muscle twinge just five minutes into Friday’s clash, but continued on until the interval.
The midfielder has scored twice already in this tournament – against Slovakia and Croatia – and has also registered two assists.
He has three goals in nine assists for his country having been handed his debut in 2019.

Likely to take his place in midfield will be either Gerard Moreno or Dani Olmo, as 2008 and 2012 Euros winners Spain look to reach the final once again.
It is a rematch of the 2012 final in Kiev, which Spain won 4-0 as they memorably defended their title and won their third major tournament in a row.
The winner will face either England or Denmark, who clash on Wednesday, in the final on Sunday.
